Just a short note to say hello! I am enjoying my time off. I am reading John Michael Talbot’s book Simplicity. It is a reflection on how to live a simple and modest life as a Christian in the world today.
I did take the opportunity to bless the local factory of ACF Environmental this past week. They are making booms that are being used in the Gulf oil spill cleanup and containment efforts.
I look forward to seeing you all at Mass on August 15.

Prayer Requests for the Dead:  the Souls in Purgatory.

Pray for Our Seminarians: Dcn. Gordon Barcalow, Jeff Bray, and all seminarians.

FRIEND RAISER:  To assist those seeking an Old Catholic parish, Holy Angels maintains both a website and a monthly ad in the Orlando Sentinel. In our efforts to grow our parish, the Parish Council encourages everyone to invite family members, friends, and neighbors to join us for Mass. Consider taking an extra bulletin or two to give to them. If you have other ideas to assist with the development of the parish, please feel free to share them.

WELCOME: We wish to welcome Wayne Ritter as a member of Holy Angels.

Altar Flowers: If you wish to give flowers for the altar, please sign up on the bulletin board. Make you check payable to First UCC for either a $15 or $20 arrangement. Your flowers will grace the altar for the First UCC Service and then for our Mass. Afterward you may take the arrangement home.

For the Ride Home: Reflection
• How do you “walk blamelessly and do
justice?”
• Have you considered what Christ has done for you?
• How do you determine what Christ is asking you to do?
• Write some ways that you are a disciple of Christ.
We do not travel life’s journey alone – this should be the constant thought of my faith. We can rely on God in a very practical way. It is He who can help us. If a baby, needing to come out of his mother’s womb, depended only on his own strength and skill, he would never see the light. But there is someone who will help him out… We do not realize that our mother is at hand and that God is the mother in whom we live and have our being. And that he will bring us into the light. 1
